An Invitation to “Ask The Doctor”
ECCIL hosts an evening for parents’ medical questions to be answered
Highland Park, IL, Nov 18, 2008 – The Early Childhood Center for Innovative Learning (ECCIL) has partnered with the medical community to host an evening of open forum with a trusted physician, well known to Highland Park. An event designed to allow questions and commentary with Dr. Lisa Sullivan, a pediatrician who specializes in Allergy/Immunology.
This is an effort to build awareness, providing additional support to parents when struggling to determine whether their child’s sniffles and sneezes, warrant a trip to the doctor. ECCIL is opening the forum to the surrounding community in hopes of having a healthier winter and well-informed parents.
If anyone is more aware of the flu season and how easy it is to spread germs, it is staff at Day Care Centers. Young children are typically prime suspects when it comes to transmitting colds, flu and viral infection. Unaware of germs lurking near-by, kids are oblivious to their close contact with one another, naturally little ones are more prone to “catch something”.
“When it comes to having a sick child, beyond the worry and wear on the family, parents have the added responsibility to know what merits a physican’s intervention,” remarked ECCIL Director, Kathy Marquardt. “Dr. Mom knows a lot, however, a physican oftentimes is the essential ingredient to getting better,” she continued.
The public is invited to attend this worthwhile evening, Tuesday, November 18th, 5:00-6:00pm, at 776 Red Oak Lane, Highland Park, IL. Refreshments and childcare will be provided and the event promises to be beneficial and informative to everyone.
